Introducing: Mi’kmaq/Indigenous Education Officer

The Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission would like to introduce you to our  Mi’kmaq/Indigenous Education Officer. Tanaysha Sack works out of  Membertou, Cape Breton.

The role of the Mi’kmaq Indigenous Education Officer is to provide human rights education to all Nova Scotians through a Mi’kmaq lens. In this role, Tanaysha will be conducting human rights related community outreach within Mi’kmaq communities throughout Nova Scotia.  She will work with the Race Relations, Equity, and Inclusion Director and Team to facilitate learning opportunities focused on discrimination, human rights education, and support services in a culturally relevant, user-friendly manner.
