Join Nicholas (Nik) Phillips as he delves into the mission and vision of Tajikeimik, which means "to be healthy." Discover how this Mi’kmaw health and wellness organization is driving meaningful transformation in health care for Mi’kmaw communities across Nova Scotia. Nik will provide an in-depth look at what this transformation entails, from integrating culturally grounded practices to addressing the unique needs of L’nu people. He will also explore the wide range of services and programs currently offered by Tajikeimik, highlighting their role in fostering holistic wellness and strengthening community health. About this presetner: Nicholas (Nik) Phillips, is from Mi’kma’ki, and a member of Millbrook First Nation. He is a member of the Phillips and Cope clans. Nik serves as the Director of Mental Wellness and Healing with Tajikeimik— Mi’kmaw health and wellness organization leading health transformation for Mi’kmaw communities in Nova Scotia.
