Independent Human Rights Hearing Begins May 15

An independent human rights board of inquiry in the matter of Melinda Daye vs. Dollarama Inc. will begin Thursday, May 15, in Halifax.

Ms. Daye alleges she was discriminated against by Dollarama Inc. because of her race and colour.

The board chair for the hearing is Donald C. Murray, who is independent of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.

The hearing will take place at the Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake hotel, Lakeview A room, beginning at 9:30 a.m..

The hearing is open to media and the public.
