Human Rights Commissions Across Canada Call for Collection of Disaggregated Race-based Health Data
Jun 05, 2020
Eleven of Canada’s federal, provincial and territorial human rights commissions are calling on the Government of Canada to develop and implement a nation‑wide strategy for the collection of disaggregated race-based health data.
Human rights commissions across Canada have joined a chorus of public health experts and community advocates calling for the collection of race-based data to ensure that decision-makers have the best information available in making decisions affecting our most vulnerable populations.
CASHRA is currently chaired by Christine Hanson, Director and CEO of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.
