Settlement Summaries
Resolution is the preferred way to settle human rights disputes. The following summaries of settlement agreements will give you an idea of the types of disputes that have settled, and the terms of settlement. If the dispute is settled before the appointment of a Board of Inquiry, then the settlement is usually confidential. There is not normally any confidentiality when disputes are settled by means of a decision resulting from a Board of Inquiry.
