Independent Human Rights Hearing Begins April 27

An independent human rights board of inquiry in the matter of Airen Antle vs. Halifax Regional Municipality and Halifax Transit will begin on Monday, April 27.

Mr. Antle alleges that he was discriminated against because of his gender identity and/or gender expression while employed by Halifax Transit.

The board chair for the hearing is Benjamin Perryman, who is independent of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.

The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake Hotel, 250 St. Margarets Bay Rd., Halifax. It is open to media and members of the public.
