Independent Human Rights Hearing Begins October 28

An independent human rights board of inquiry in the matter of Charla Dorrington vs. A.J. Acheson Sales Ltd., operating as Canadian Tire, Dartmouth Crossing, will begin on Tuesday, October 28. 

Ms. Dorrington alleges the company discriminated against her because of her race and colour when she was shopping at the store.

The board chair for the hearing is Eric Slone, who is independent of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.

The hearing will begin at 10 a.m. at the Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake Hotel, 250 St. Margarets Bay Rd., Halifax. It is open to media and members of the public.
