Independent Human Rights Hearing Begins November 13

An independent human rights board of inquiry in the matter of Carmel Mitchell vs. Independent Security Services (ISS) Inc., will begin on Thursday, November 13.
Ms. Mitchell alleges the company discriminated against her because of her race and colour, when she was shopping at a Canadian Tire store in Dartmouth Crossing.
The board chair for the hearing is Donald Murray, who is independent of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.
The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Express – Bedford, 980 Parkland Dr., Halifax. It is open to media and members of the public.
