Celebrating African Heritage
Feb 01, 2022
Each year February marks African Heritage Month in Nova Scotia, inviting us to celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of African Nova Scotians.
This year’s theme Through Our Eyes: The Voices of African Nova Scotians, recognizes the legacies of people of African descent through first voice, lived realities, and experiences.
The Commission is planning a public event and we look forward to sharing details soon. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore the many public events and resources available throughout the month as we enrich our understanding and appreciation of the history, traditions, and stories of one of our province’s founding communities.
