Blake Hunsley of reachAbility will be joined by app developer Avery Cote, to discuss his in-progress accessible navigation app, Trek.iQ. In Avery's words: "Trek.iQ is an accessibility intelligence platform designed to make cities and spaces easier to navigate for everyone. We use data to uncover barriers, benchmark accessibility, and help organizations create more inclusive, equitable urban experiences. At Trek.iQ, accessibility isn’t a feature - it’s the foundation of everything we build."
Blake and Avery will be joined by two local residents who identify as living with disabilities and who participated in Trek.iQ's first future user focus group on November 20th to discuss the app, existing roadblocks to accessible navigation in Halifax, and how technology can be harnessed to overcome these roadblocks.
